What is Twice?
Twice (Twice Messenger) is a mobile messaging app that lets you see the people around you, chat with them, and make voice and video calls that work in the UAE without a VPN.
It also helps you find the people you crossed paths with (with the place and date), keeps everyone's contact details in a digital business card, and lets you find a contact even if you forgot their name.
Twice is available on iOS and Android and is published by JAUPIN Design LLC, a company based in the United Arab Emirates.
Yes. Twice is free to download and free to use for messaging, calls and discovering people around you.
An optional Twice Premium subscription unlocks extra features, such as additional privacy modes, filters and card customization. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe.
Can I make calls without a VPN in the UAE with Twice?
Yes. Twice voice and video calls are designed to work in the UAE without a VPN, on mobile data or Wi-Fi.
As with any internet call, quality depends on your connection. If you usually keep a VPN on, Twice works best with it turned off.
For context, the UAE telecom regulator (TDRA) only allows internet calling through licensed operators and approved services, which is why some popular apps restrict calls in the country.
Open the Explore tab in the app: it lists the people around you in real time, with an interactive map.
Twice needs your location permission to show nearby profiles. If nobody is very close, the app widens the radius and shows the closest people. From a profile you can start a chat, a call or a card exchange.
Can other people see my exact location?
No. Nobody sees your exact location on Twice.
Other users can see that you are nearby, not your precise position. Appearing on the map is a choice the app asks you about, and you can switch your profile to invisible mode at any time.
Location is used to show people around you and the people you crossed paths with. You can change the permission at any time in your phone settings.
Yes. Invisible mode hides your profile from all discovery features: suggestions, nearby profiles and the interactive map.
You stay in control of who can reach you, and you can block any user. Some advanced privacy modes, like looking around without being seen, are part of Twice Premium.
Can a friend who does not have Twice join a call?
Yes. You can send a call link, and the other person joins the voice or video call from their web browser, without installing the app.
Call links are single use and time limited, and calls with a guest are shorter than calls between two Twice members. For unlimited calls, your friend can install Twice for free.
What does "people you crossed paths with" mean?
Twice remembers the Twice users you were near, with the place and date, so you can find them again later.
It is useful when you met someone at an event, a meeting or around the corner and did not exchange numbers. Users in invisible mode do not appear.
Does Twice include a digital business card?
Yes. Your Twice profile works as a digital business card that you can share in one tap, with your details and social links.
Cards you exchange are kept in your wallet, and the smart phone book lets you find someone by where or when you met, even if you forgot their name.
Is Twice available on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Twice is available on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android.
Call links also let people join a call from a web browser without the app.

How do I delete my Twice account?
In the app, go to your Profile and select Delete account, then confirm. Deletion is scheduled immediately.
If you can no longer access the app, email support@twice-messenger.com from the address linked to your account with the subject "Account deletion request". The full process and what is deleted are described on our account deletion page.
